SugarPea Designs: New release day 1, Indian Summer!

Hello everyone!

I'm super thrilled to show you some peeks of the new release at SugarPea Designs. Are you ready for Fall? I know I am!

So let's start today with an Indian Summer vibe... racoons, anyone?! Oh and we have some MUST-HAVE paperpads in store for you, I swear, basics needed! What about a big arrow plate? Yup, got that covered!

But for today's card I simply used the stamp set as I was in a mood for scenes... you'll see what I mean later on this week, promise!

So I stamped the little racoon and his canoe on a square piece of cardstock, along with a tent. Then, I simply handdraw a few waves and a bit of sand to create an island with a light marker to see how this would look like. Turned out great, so I went ahead and coloured the whole thing... phew! Oh and let's not forget that sweet sentiment with the new Nuvo ink hybrid formula from Tonic Studios, mostly to see how dark it would look :-)

I completed the whole thing with a few drops Nuvo Drops and voilà!

SugarPea Designs- Chunky Monkey

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share how easy it is to create a scene with the whimsical stamps at SugarPea Designs!

For today's card, I used only two products: the Chunky Monkey stamp set and the SugarCut – Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles. My cards are usually dimensional, so I figured why not go out of my comfort zone and create something completely flat?!

I first stamped twice the little monkey at the top right corner; once onto my favorite coloring cardstock, and another time onto some masking paper to create a mask, in order to stamp the branch from which the monkey is hanging. Oh, did you notice how long that branch is?! I simply didn't ink the end of it so that I could continue the lines with a black pen that was compatible with my coloring medium.  I also added a bunch of bananas and a couple of monkeys at the bottom of the scene. It's like we're in the forest, right?

Later on, I loosely handdrawn the tree so that the hanging monkey wouldn't just be "there", along with a deep blue summer sky and some grass flickers.

All I add to do after that was to die-cut my scene with the largest of the SugarCut – Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles and stamp a sentiment on it, adhere the whole panel on a sturdy cardbase and voilà!

I hope to have inspire you to try something new today, too :-)

LDRS Creative: Smile generously

Good morning, all!

Stephanie with you today to feature some gorgeous products from LDRS Creative and I Am Roses. I can't help it, I feel like they come together so beautifully!

I first inked a stamp from the All Dressed Up line named Everything For Walkies and cropped it so that the halo from the lamppost would be the focal point of the card, popped onto the Dotty Doily die set from Polkadoodles. It is paired with the Daisy Daisy 6"x6" paper collection for some blue hues that are as soft as the chosen sentiment from the Magnolia Splendor set by TLC that was inked on a Regal Frame die-cut. And can you spot the Majestic Frame die hidden on there?

A few close-ups...

Here are the flowers from I Am Roses that I used:

The final touch was some Nuvo Drops from Tonic Studios, as always!
